
This website is the result of a journey in astrophotography that started end of 2014. At that moment it became clear to me that digital camera’s and computers opened up entire new possibilities for my wooden telescope, having an 18 cm diameter mirror with 1100 mm focal length that I built in the early 1980’s. The journey led me past the creation of an equatorial platform, the shift from DSLR to dedicated astrocamera’s and an observatory grade mount situated in a backyard observatory. When an occasion occurred to replace my old mirror with a new, 25 cm diameter and focal length of 1500 mm one, I seized the opportunity and built a new telescope (2022) with off axis guiding and a coma corrector (added in spring 2023).
